摘要
符号学理论有着强烈的批判精神和锐利的反思锋芒,既具有思想的深刻性,又具备方法论的可操作性;既强调形式立场,又超越了形式研究的局限,是整个当代文艺批评理论的重要方法论基础。通过对符号学理论研究的学术史考察,可归纳出四个重要的思想来源:一是以索绪尔为代表的“语言符号学”,二是以皮尔斯为代表的“三元模式”符号学,三是以卡西尔为代表的“符号形式哲学”,四是以巴赫金为代表的“文化符号理论”。这些代表性的符号学理论其价值和意义是不言而喻的,但在解释譬如敦煌艺术符号、民间视觉符号、当代互联网符号等具有中国意味的研究对象时,有时会显得“力不从心”。因此,试图以“中国方式”重新阐释符号学理论,这种阐释旨在符号学理论的本土化,使符号学理论成为解释“中国问题”更有力的理论资源和方法论武器。
The theory of semiotics has a strong critical spirit and a sharp edge of reflection.It has both the profundity of thought and the operability of methodology.It not only emphasizes the position of form studies,but also transcends the limitations of form studies.Thus,it is an important methodological basis of the entire contemporary literary and artistic criticism theory.By investigating the academic history of theoretical studies of semiotics,this paper summarizes its four significant sources of ideas.The first is linguistic semiotics represented by Saussure,the second the triadic model of semiotics represented by Peirce,the third the Philosophy of Symbolic Forms represented by Cassirer,and the fourth the Cultural Symbol Theory represented by Bakhtin.The value and significance of these representative semiotic theories are obvious.Whereas,they seem inadequate when used to explain such research objects with Chinese significance as Dunhuang art signs,folk visual signs,and contemporary Internet signs.Therefore,this paper attempts to reinterpret the theory of semiotics in a Chinese way,which aims at localizing the semiotic theories,and makes the semiotic theories the theoretical resources and methodological tools for explaining"China issues".
