摘要
“不是X吗”句式是日常交际中常用的否定反问句。本文通过分析该句式在自然言谈中的互动语境,提出该句式具有结盟求取功能。语料考察发现,该句式常见于话轮首、话轮中和话轮尾位置,常用于言谈遇到信息及立场分歧、话轮接管问题、或预见连续性受阻等言谈语境,且言谈语境对话轮位置具有敏感性。言者通过该句式投射并确立共知信息,促进互动参与者的情感合作,求取互动结盟。
This article examines the affiliative function of the ubiquitous rhetorical question bushi X ma in Mandarin Chinese natural interactions from the perspective of interactional linguistics.Through analyzing the interactive context in which this rhetorical question is used,the article shows that this rhetorical question is commonly used at the initial,middle and final position of the turns.This study also reveals that speakers mobilize this rhetorical question to address issues of information or stance discrepancy,a lack of uptake and understanding by the recipient,and upcoming interruptions in the conversation.This study argues that by employing this rhetorical question to project and establish shared knowledge,speakers manage to promote affective involvement and seek affiliation from participants in the conversation.
