摘要
明代建阳熊成冶于万历年间以“种德堂”名号刊刻古籍共有44种,其中经部10种,史部7种,子部24种,集部3种。日本内阁文库藏有熊成冶刊刻的古籍共10种,其中5种国内无藏本,这为我们考辨其刻书情况提供了新的文献材料。熊成冶所刻古籍版画插图较多,卷首需有版画,书内插图包括局部插图、上图下文、独占半页、跨页连幅等形式。熊成冶所刻书的种类及其版式特征彰显出其刻书的通俗性和实用性。另一方面,熊成冶具有广告意识和营销意识,他通过书名广告、序文广告、牌记广告、扉页广告宣传种德堂的刻书以获取利润。熊氏刻古的这些特征和手段正是明代万历时期种德堂再次兴盛的缘由。
Xiong Chengye published 43 kinds of ancient books under the name of“Zhong De Tang”during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty in Jianyang,including 10 kinds of classics,7 kinds of history,23 kinds of philosophy and 3 kinds of literature.It is worth mentioning that there are 9 kinds of books printed by Xiong Chengye collected in the Library of Japanese Cabinet,among which 4 kinds are not collected in China,which provides new materials for us to make textual research on the engraving.Also,there are many print illustrations in these books,which are not only at the front of the volume,but also in the text,including local illustrations,upper volume of illustrations,half-page illustrations,and cross-page illustrations.The type and format of the books printed by Xiong Chengye show the popularity and practicality.On the other hand,Xiong Chengye had the awareness of advertising and marketing.He advertised the engraved books of Zhong De Tang through title ads,preamble ads,card record ads and title page ads to obtain profits.These features and methods of Xiong's book engraving are the reason why the Zhong De Tang flourished again during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
