摘要
中外合拍的优秀医疗类影视作品能够向世界展现中国医疗形象,推动人类卫生健康共同体理念深入国际民心。国际化电影生产的很多重要环节均需高质量翻译。本研究以中国国际抗疫援助重大历史题材影片剧本翻译为例,探索Culpeper的人物塑造模型在电影剧本医护形象跨语言塑造中的应用。本研究为相关翻译实践提供理论指导、形象塑造要素和具可操作性的翻译流程,以期挖掘影视翻译研究的新视角,提升中国医疗领域故事的影响力、感召力和塑造力。
Chinese-foreign co-produced medical dramas are conducive to constructing China’s national image across the medical field.They can both advocate for a global community of health for all and make the concept available to people around the world.High-quality translations prove essential throughout a range of aspects of internationalized film production.This study explores the application of Culpeper’s cognitive stylistic approach to characterisation of medical professionals,using the Chinese to English translation of the film literary script based on the significant historical event in China’s global engagement against the pandemic as an example.The study aims to provide theoretical guidance,key elements for characterisation,and an operational process for relevant translation practices.It explores new perspectives in audiovisual translation studies and enhances the influence,appeal,and formative power of Chinese stories in the medical field.
