摘要
在整个华人离散历程中,有一种割舍不去的经验,既内嵌于、又游离于离散事实,既被裹挟在近代以来的中国历史之内,又阶段性地与官方话语相颉颃,那就是近一个世纪以来,始终处于华人离散文学视野边缘的“侨乡”经验。陈河的《布偶》是目前华人文学中,极为少见的正面、集中书写“侨乡”经验的作品。《布偶》书写了上世纪五十至八十年代初,隐蔽在当代中国历史外沿,被宏观历史叙述所忽略的浙江温州特殊社会圈层——华侨、归侨和侨眷——的一段秘辛。陈河关注到近代西方基督教传教活动与温州侨乡之间的复杂扭结,并将叙述视点聚焦于革命和“公有化”浪潮之下的归侨、侨眷社群,书写了这一特殊群体的悲剧命运与畸形生态。
In the process of the Chinese diaspora,there is an experience that refuses to be severed as it is embedded in and drifts away from the facts of dispersal,carried within the history of China since the modem times while vying with the official discourse in stage,which is the experience based on the town of overseas Chinese that constantly remains on the edge of the diasporic literary vision over the last century.The Cloth Puppet,by Chen He,of literatures in Chinese at present,is a rare piece of work that focuses on the town of overseas Chinese experience and that is also positive.The novel is about the secret lives of overseas Chinese,the returned ones and their families,part of a special social circle in Wenzhou,Zhejiang,that is ignored by the macro historical narrative as it's hidden on the outer edge of Chinese history from the 1950s to the 1980s.Concerned with the complex knot between the Christian missionary activities in modem times and the towns of overseas Chinese in Wenzhou,Chen He writes about the tragic fate and defonned ecology of this special group by focusing his attention on the returnee Chinese and the communities of their families hit by the waves of revolution and socialization.
