摘要
本文指出奥尔森夸大“搭便车”的现实普遍性的理论根源。对此,本文在保持奥尔森原有假设的情况下利用超边际分析法建立了更一般的数理模型,推理得出理性自利的成员并非必然“搭便车”,公共品和私人品的关系、两者的生产效率、成员对两者的兴趣等个体特征的不同组合激励着成员采取不同的最优策略,最终让集体呈现不同的均衡状态。进而,本文以“支部建在连上”为例说明了通过机制设计可以改变这些个体特征及其组合从而让集体达到预期更好的均衡状态。
This paper points to the theoretical roots of Olson’s exaggeration of the reality universality of "free riding" in real life. Using the approach of inframarginal analysis, this paper establishes a more general mathematical model while maintaining Olson’s original hypothesis, and makes the deducted conclusion that rational and selfinterested members are not necessarily“free riders”. In fact, different combinations of individual characteristics,such as the relationship between public goods and private goods, production efficiency of both, and members’ interest in both, motivate the members to adopt different optimal strategies and finally land the collective in different equilibrium states. Further, this paper takes the practice of“Establishing Party Branches on the Company”as an example to illustrate that these individual characteristics and their combination can be changed through mechanism design, so that the collective can achieve the expected better equilibrium state.
