摘要
在清康熙至乾隆年间出现的陈汀官家族是广州对外贸易中众多行商家族中最为重要的一支,陈汀官家族祖孙三代除了积极地参入广州对外贸易外,还在陈汀官主持对外贸易期间,成为对欧洲商人最大的供货商,并且领导广州贸易的五大总商之一,使得该家族成为清代早期广州对外贸易中势力最大的家族。本文大量利用英国东印度公司档案中陈汀官家族的贸易材料并结合中文档案文献,对陈汀官家族成员的原名、商名、更迭进行考证,并对该家族与英国东印度公司的贸易活动进行详细研究,以得出对该家族较为全面的考察。
The Ton Tinqua family, which appeared in the period from Kangxi Emperor to Qianlong Emperor in the Qing dynasty, is the most important of the many merchant families in Canton’s foreign trade. The three generations of the Ton Tinqua family not only actively participated in Canton’s foreign trade, but also presided over foreign trade in Ton Tinqua. During this period, he became the largest supplier to European merchants and one of the five general merchants leading Canton trade, making the family the most powerful family in Canton’s foreign trade in the early Qing dynasty. This paper makes extensive use of the trade materials of the Ton Tinqua family in the British East India Company archives, combined with the Chinese archives, to verify the original names, trade names and changes of the members of the Ton Tinqua family, and conducts a detailed study of the family’s trade activities with the British East India Company, in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the family.
