摘要
民族文学外译是中国文化“走出去”背景下的重要研究话题之一。为探究变译理论视域下民族文学的外译传播表现,以《格萨尔王》葛浩文英译为例,借鉴拉斯韦尔传播模式创制变译传播研究范式,对《格萨尔王》英译传播的五个维度进行系统分析。研究表明,《格萨尔王》英译是一次成功的变译传播实践,其注重的读者需求与传播过程中的传播受众期待一致。变译传播作为全译传播的补充,对民族文学“走出去”具有重要意义。
Chinese national literature translated abroad is an important research issue in the context that Chinese culture goes overseas.Taking The Song of King Gesar as a sample,this paper endeavors to look into the communication modes of national literature’s being translated abroad in the perspective of translation variation theory.A systematic analysis is made into the five-dimensional communication modes of the English translated version of The Song of King Gesar,via a created research paradigm of translation variation based on Lasswell’s communication modes.The study shows that The Song of King Gesar’s English translation is a successful translation variation practice,since the translation focuses on the readership’s demands being consistent with the expectations of the readers when it’s being read.As an important complement to complete translation,translation variation gives a full play to national literature’s traveling overseas.
