Yucca extract belongs to secondary metabolites of yucca,and its active components mainly include saponins and polyphenols.Saponins play a bacteriostatic effect by regulating the intestinal permeability and microbial balance of animals,and polyphenols have a positive effect on the activation of the immune system of animals.The addition of yucca extract to the feed has a positive effect on animal growth performance and health.The article makes a comprehensive review from the main active components of yucca extract and its application in animal husbandry,and analyzes its economic value,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the feed utilization value of yucca extract.
