摘要
独特的长城文化和深厚的长城精神已经演变成了中国历史文化的符号和中华民族精神的象征。在当前“中国文化走出去”的背景下,如何将榆林长城文化外宣资料中蕴含的中国文化元素准确传递给译语受者值得每一位译者深思。根据文化翻译理论,译者应秉持“文化传真”的原则,通过直译、音译加直译、音译加注、直译加注等异化翻译法以及编译、意译等归化翻译法灵活处理原语文本中的文化意蕴,尽可能让译语受者能够准确理解并欣赏长城文化,从而达到文化交流的目的。
The unique Great Wall culture and the profound Great Wall spirit have evolved into the symbol of Chinese history and culture as well as that of Chinese national spirit.In the context of“Chinese culture going out”,how to accurately convey the Chinese cultural elements contained in the publicity texts for Yulin Great Wall culture to the target language readers is worth pondering by every translator.According to the Theory of Cultural Translation,the translator should adhere to the principle of“faxing the culture”,and convey to the target language readers the cultural connotations in the source texts by flexibly using such strategies of foreignization as literal translation,transliteration plus literal translation,transliteration plus annotation and literal translation plus annotation,as well as strategies of domestication such as tanslation by editing the source text and free translation,so that the target language readers can accurately understand and appreciate the Great Wall culture.And in so doing,the purpose of cultural exchange might be achieved.
