摘要
现代社会中优绩主义促进了高等教育尤其是精英高等教育的繁荣。在阶层流动的激励下,公众期待经由高等教育实现中产阶级的梦想。然而,基于优绩主义价值观,20世纪80年代以来,伴随高等教育的大范围普及,现代社会不是更加平等而是不平等在加剧。现代社会要实现从“富裕社会”到“共同富裕社会”的转型,高等教育需要摆脱对优绩主义的迷思,以共同利益为基石重新定位。现代社会需要通过适度的精英主义把最有能力、最有资格的人筛选和培养出来,但也要确保社会的公平正义。高等教育应成为连接精英群体和非精英群体的桥梁,而不能以优绩主义为借口沦为隔断精英群体与非精英群体的“铁幕”,否则我们将无法创造出期望的美好社会。
In modern society,meritocracy promotes the prosperity of higher education,especially elite higher education.Inspired by class mobility,the public expects to realize the dream of the middle class through higher education.However,based on the values of meritocracy,since the 1980s,with the widespread popularization of higher education,modern society is not more equal but more unequal.In order to realize the transformation from a “rich society” to a “common rich society”,higher education needs to get rid of the myth of meritocracy and reposition itself on the basis of the common good.In practice,modern society needs to screen and cultivate the most capable and qualified people through appropriate elitism,but also to ensure social fairness and justice.Higher education should become a bridge connecting elite groups and non-elite groups and should not become an “iron curtain” to separate elite groups and non-elite groups under the pretext of meritocracy;otherwise we will not be able to create the desired good society.
