Objective To investigate the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of medial and lateral meniscus injury. Methods 78 patients with suspected meniscus injury who were treated in Zhongwu Hospital,Suqian City from January 2020 to October 2021 were selected as the research subjects. The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed, and magnetic resonance imaging and arthroscopy were performed in all patients. To analyze the diagnostic efficacy and value of magnetic resonance imaging for inner and outer meniscus tears. Results The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of medial meniscus injury were 90.32%,80.00%,93.33%,72.73%and 87.80%,respectively,indicating that MRI was highly consistent with the gold standard di⁃agnosis(Kappa=0.786).The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of lateral meniscus injury were 92.31%,83.33%,92.31%,83.33%,and 89.47%,respectively,indicating that MRI was highly consistent with the gold standard diagnosis(Kappa=0.793).Conclusion Magnetic resonance imaging examination has positive significance for meniscus injury,it can accurately measure the tear of the meniscus and the lateral meniscus, which can effectively improve the diagnostic efficiency and facilitate clinical diagnosis and treatment.
