[Objective]This paper aims to study the effects of moso bamboo expansion to subtropical evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous forests on soil ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and total inorganic nitrogen contents.[Methods]The typical transects of moso bamboo expanding to evergreen broad-leaved forest and coniferous forests were selected, respectively. The soil samples of 0-10 cm,10-20 cm and 20-40 cm were taken by excavation section method to analyze the differences of soil ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and total inorganic nitrogen contents among different forest types in the expanding transects.[Results]Moso bamboo expansion to evergreen broad-leaved forest changed the vertical distribution pattern of ammonia nitrogen, and reduced the content of nitrate nitrogen and total inorganic nitrogen;Moso bamboo expansion to coniferous forest also increased the content of ammonia nitrogen in surface soil, and decreased the content of nitrate nitrogen and total inorganic nitrogen.[Conclusion]The expansion of moso bamboo to evergreen broad-leaved forest reduced the content of total inorganic nitrogen by reducing the content of ammonia nitrogen in middle soil and nitrate nitrogen in surface soil;moso bamboo expansion to coniferous forest also reduced the content of total inorganic nitrogen by increasing ammonia nitrogen in surface soil and reducing the content of nitrate nitrogen in middle and deep layers.
