摘要
主宰欧洲人思想模式的视觉中心主义促成了他们对玻璃的格外重视并乐于通过它去观察和研究世界,而玻璃的透明、坚硬、可塑等特性又使其成为极佳的观察实验仪器。视觉中心主义和玻璃的有机结合,使玻璃制作工艺在西欧得到大力发展,进而出现了镜子、望远镜、显微镜等一系列观察实验的工具。这些工具极大地拓展和丰富了人类的经验范围和内容,从而引发了人们思想上的变化,最终促进旧的科学范式被新范式取代,并重塑了人们的世界观。
The vision-centralism,which dominates the European thought patterns,contributes to their particular attention to glass and their willingness to observe and study the world through it.Meanwhile,the characteristic properties of glass such as transparency,hardness and plasticity make it an excellent apparatus for observation and experiment.The organic combination between vision-centralism and glass makes the glass-making technology development remarkably in western Europe,and then a series of tools for observation and experiment such as mirrors,telescopes and microscopes have been created ever since,which have greatly expanded and enriched the range and content of human experience.As a result,the old scientific paradigm is replaced with a new one,reshaping people's world outlook.
