摘要
以天命意识与白人至上主义为价值观基础的盎格鲁一致性主流意识形态体系塑造了美国国家性格,麦卡锡主义与冷战文化是其极端的表现形式。因此,排外反共与种族歧视在美国主流意识形态中必将长期存在。结合美国新电影运动以及比波普爵士乐风潮考察“垮掉的一代”对于盎格鲁一致性价值观的反叛,可以管窥二战之后美国从现代主义思潮到后现代主义思潮时代精神转向之症候。垮掉派作家倾向于表现后现代主义思潮的含混性与不确定性。受到比波普爵士乐以及美国新电影运动的影响,垮掉派作品普遍有一种不被白人至上主义、麦卡锡主义等盎格鲁一致性主流意识形态洗脑从而绝不同流合污的叛逆性精神诉求,这种背反精神成为其后各种反叛运动一再回望并不断效仿的精神指归。
The mainstream ideology system of Anglo-conformity,which is based on Innate Mission and white supremacy,shapes the national character of the United States.McCarthyism and cold-war culture are its extreme manifestations.Therefore,xenophobia,anti-Communism and racial discrimination will exist for a long time in American mainstream ideology.Combined with the movement of American New Films and the Bebop Jazz trend,the rebellion of the“Beat Generation”against the Anglo-conformity values was studied,which can give a glimpse of the symptoms of the spiritual turning from Modernism to Postmodernism in the United States after World War Ⅱ.Beat writers tend to show the ambiguity and uncertainty of Postmodernism.Influenced by Bebop and the movement of American New Films,the Beat works generally have a rebellious spiritual appeal,which is not brainwashed by the mainstream ideology of Anglo-conformity values such as white supremacy and McCarthyism.The appeal has become the spiritual direction that various subsequent rebellious movements look back and follow.
