大学英语翻译教学:问题与对策——基于关联理论

摘要 翻译是跨语言交际的基本技能。翻译中涉及的语码转换、文化迁移与认知对接是英语学习者必须具备的核心素养之一,英语教学进入高阶学段应该把培养学生实际翻译操作能力放在首位。本文基于对大学英语翻译教学实践的课堂观察与学习体验,借用关联理论独特视角首先分析传统翻译教学中存在的一系列问题,如混淆词汇语义指向、忽视文化背景联系、缺乏语篇连贯意识等,通过构建语义网络、串联认知语境、谋取语篇衔接等多维路径,积极探索提升英语学习者跨语言交际的语篇思维转换能力,以期为大学英语翻译教学的模式创新与探索提供启示。 Translation is a fundamental skill for cross-language communication.The code-switching,cultural transfer and cognitive alignment involved in translation are among the core literacy that English learners are supposed to develop,and the cultivation of students'practical translation skills should be given top priority when college English teaching proceed upon an advanced level.Based on the classroom observation and hand—on learning experience of a EFL learner at college,this paper,in light of relevance theory,not only analyzes a series of problems plaguing conventional translating instruction,such as confusing the semantic meaning of words,neglecting cultural contextual connection and lacking the sense of discourse coherence;but also,in terms of teaching mode innovation,explores the multi-dimensional paths of constructing semantic networks,linking cognitive contexts and seeking pragmatic articulation to enhance English learners'capability of cross-linguistic communication in deep structure.
