Simulation and Process Optimization of CNC Cutting Process for Automotive Parts

摘要 Production Module(简称PM)以其强大的数控加工工艺过程仿真与优化能力被广泛的应用于航空航天、汽车等领域。通过切削工艺过程仿真与优化,可显著缩短加工时间、提高刀具使用寿命,降低生产成本。基于PM软件,对变速箱箱体和电磁阀阀体这两类关键汽车零部件的数控切削加工过程进行了仿真,从提高加工效率、延长刀具寿命角度对变速箱箱体的面铣加工程序进行了切削参数优化,并对电磁阀阀体深孔钻削过程中的断刀现象进行了分析。结果表明,优化后的加工程序使得变速箱箱体加工效率提高8%,而电磁阀阀体深孔钻削时不合理的加工参数与刀具设计所引起的较冲击和瞬时力矩是引起断刀的主要原因。 Production Module(PM)has been widely used in aerospace,automobile and other fields due to its powerful capabilities of process simulation and optimization.Through the simulation and optimization of cutting process,the machining time can be shortened,the tool life can be improved,and thus the production cost can be significantly reduced.This paper simulates the NC cutting process of two key automobile parts,namely gearbox body and solenoid valve body based on the PM software.The NC program when machining the gearbox body was optimized in view of improving the processing efficiency and prolonging the tool life.Besides,the phenomenon of tool failure when drilling the solenoid valve body was carefully analyzed.The results show that the processing efficiency of the gearbox body is increased by 8%by optimizing the NC program.The unreasonable machining parameters and tool design during deep hole drilling of solenoid valve body will bring huge impact and instantaneous torque,leading to premature tool failure.
