Objective To explore establishment and application of homogeneous maintenance mode of peripherally inserted central catheter based on medical alliance, and to observe its application effect. Methods A total of 29 nursing staff from the member units of the medical alliance were trained in homogenization, and the qualification access certificates were issued after passing the examination.Homogeneous maintenance was implemented for patients with PICC.The theoretical and skill achievements of nursing staff, the maintenance compliance of discharged patients, the incidence of complications and the patients′satisfaction were compared before and after the training, and the patients′satisfaction was evaluated. Results After training, the scores of theory and skill of nurses were significantly higher after training(P<0.01).There were no significant differences in maintenance compliance and complication rate between patients in outpatient department and those in medical alliance(P>0.05),and satisfaction of patients in medical alliance reached 98.41%.Conclusion Establishment and application of homogeneous maintenance mode of PICC based on medical alliance can provide homogeneous care for patients discharged with PICC,which is conducive to the implementation of continuous care and improvement of patients′satisfaction.
