摘要
越来越多的国家步入中等发达阶段之后遭遇了教师性别失衡。男教师比例低不仅可能对学生产生负面影响,还将由于老龄化、集中退休及社会文化心理"隐秘门槛"造成教师行业的衰退。根据教育部的统计数据,我国教师性别失衡在经济、文化等多重因素的影响下,正迅速以点到面日益严重,很多省市男教师比例已经低于OECD均值。为此,稳步提升在职教师的工资,改善教师专业发展氛围,加强中学和师范教育阶段男生的教师生涯教育,提供多元、灵活渠道吸引优秀男性转行从教,是提升我国男教师比例的可选之策。
The gender imbalance in the teaching profession has been a shared issue among medium developed countries.Besides the negative impact of the continual decline in male school teacher numbers on students’schooling experience,it may also do harm to the whole teaching profession along with the ongoing challenges raised by the aging process,centralized retirement and the"enigmatic threshold"of male teachers.According to the statistics of the MOE,with the multiple influence of economic and cultural factors,the gender imbalance in teaching profession in China is deteriorating rapidly.The proportion of male school teachers in many provinces and cities has been lower than the OECD average.Therefore,it is important for us to draw from the experience of developed countries and take systematical countermeasures.These measures include steadily increasing teachers’salaries,improving the atmosphere for teachers’long-term professional development,enhancing the teachers’career planning education for male students both in high schools and normal universities,as well as providing diversified and flexible channels to appeal for more outstanding males to join the teaching profession.
