摘要
《西厢记》的语言“字字当行,语语本色”,其曲词华美典雅,婉转动人。许渊冲以韵文体翻译曲词,以求最大限度地诠释原剧的艺术魅力、再现原剧的语言特征。引入接受美学理论中“隐含的读者”“空白”“期待视野”等核心概念,以许渊冲《西厢记》英译本为例,探讨译者在传译曲词的过程中,如何留白、如何满足目标语读者的期待视野,以期对文学翻译有所启示。
Romance of the Western Chamber(《西厢记》)has a beautiful and lyrical poetic language,and its Quci(曲词)is gorgeous,elegant,and charming.Xu Yuanchong translated Quci(曲词)into verse in order to interpret the artistic charm of the original to the greatest extent.The introduction of the core concepts such as“implied reader”,“the blanks”and“the horizon of expectation”in Reception Aesthetics will better explore how to leave blanks and how to satisfy target language readers’horizon of expectations,with the hope of enlightening literary translation.
