摘要
翻译本质上是跨语言、跨文化信息传播,从传播学视角研究外宣翻译须顺应受众阅读习惯和满足受众心理需要。在此基础上,以“古泉州(刺桐)史迹”简介英译为研究对象,探讨译文存在的两大问题,即源语文化信息在译文中不凸显和译文可读性不高,并尝试提出相应对策,旨在为“海丝”文化“走出去”背景下外宣翻译提供参考。
Translation is essentially information communication across languages and cultures.Research on the publicity translation from the perspective of communication should comply with target audiences’reading habits and match their psychological needs.Based on the above translation principles,this paper delves into two major problems in the English version of brief introduction to"Historical Relics of Ancient Quanzhou",namely,the cultural information in the source language is not salient in the target text and the translated text is poorly readable,and attempts to propose some corresponding solutions.It is hoped that this paper will provide reference to the publicity translation against the backdrop of"maritime silk"culture going global.
