【Objective】To investigate the effect of early enteral nutrition on the quality of life and clinical outcome of patients with esophageal cancer.【Method】From September 2018 to September 2020,90 patients with esophageal cancer in Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Dalian University were selected. The patients were divided into early observation group and control group according to the even number of hospitalization sheet. There were 45 people in each group. The observation group was given early enteral nutrition, and the control group was given parenteral nutrition after operation.【Result】The quality of life questionnaire survey was conducted two weeks after operation, and the overall health status score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group. The scores of fatigue, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, loss of appetite, constipation and financial difficulties were lower than those in the control group. The first exhaust time, defecation time, chest drainage tube removal time and postoperative hospital stay in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the hospitalization expenses in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups during perioperative nutritional support.【Conclusion】Early enteral nutrition can improve the quality of life and promote the recovery of patients.
