摘要
村镇银行是当前农村金融市场的重要组成部分,提高村镇银行经济、社会绩效,对其持续支持“三农”发展,助推乡村振兴战略具有重要意义。从董事长特征视角研究其对村镇银行经济与社会绩效的影响发现:从性别来看,女性董事长相比于男性董事长对村镇银行经济绩效和社会绩效具有更显著的促进作用;从年龄来看,董事长年龄与村镇银行经济绩效之间无显著相关关系,但与其社会绩效呈显著正相关。上述发现为主发起行选聘董事长提供了借鉴参考,同时启示村镇银行应进一步完善公司治理体系与风险管理制度,地方政府应制定符合实际的考核指标以促进村镇银行健康发展。
Rural banks are important subjects in the current rural financial market.Improving the economic and social performance of rural banks is of great significance for them to continuously support the development of“agriculture,rural areas and farmers”and boost the rural revitalization strategy.Based on the perspective of chairman characteristics,this paper analyzes the chairman characteristics’impact on the economic and social performance of rural banks.This paper finds that from the perspective of gender,female chairmen can significantly promote the economic and social performance of rural banks.Compared with the rural banks with male chairmen,the rural banks with female chairmen can achieve better economic and social performance.From the perspective of age,there is no significant correlation between the age of the chairman and the economic performance of rural banks,but there is a significant positive correlation between the age of the chairman and the social performance of rural banks.The above conclusions provide references for the selection and appointment of the chairman of the board of directors for the main sponsor banks.Meanwhile,they also inspire rural banks to further improve the corporate governance system and risk management system,and local governments should formulate assessment indexes in line with the actual conditions to promote the healthy development of rural banks.
