Objective To explore the effects of acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine on motor and cognitive functions in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods Ninety-four patients with Parkinson's disease treated in our hospital from April 2017 to November 2019 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group(n=47)and study group(n=47)according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with western medicine, and the study group was treated with acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine. The scores of motor and cognitive functions, levels of inflammatory factors and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the UPDRS-Ⅲscore of the two groups decreased, the MMSE and MoCA scores increased, and those of the study group were better than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of TNF-α,hs-CRP and IL-6 in the two groups decreased, and those in the study group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 4.26%,which was lower than 17.02% in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of Parkinson's disease can improve the motor and cognitive functions of patients, reduce the inflammatory reaction of the body, with high safety.
