异质性业绩期望差距与企业双元创新——家族企业与非家族企业的比较研究 被引量:21

摘要 基于企业成长理论和社会情感财富理论,本文从成长压力视角探究异质性业绩期望差距对双元创新的影响,并比较二者关系在家族企业与非家族企业中的异同。以2007—2019年中国A股上市公司为样本,研究发现:区分创新类型,企业倾向于采取探索式创新应对业绩期望差距,而非利用式创新;区分业绩期望情境与状态,历史期望差距(包括顺差和落差)与探索式创新显著负相关,行业期望落差与探索式创新为倒U形关系;区分企业性质,家族企业体现出短期风险厌恶和长期风险偏好的双重属性。本文在家族企业与非家族企业的不同情境中综合考虑业绩期望差距异质性与创新类型异质性,拓展了既有文献对业绩期望差距如何影响创新的理解,有助于家族企业和非家族企业管理者在面临不同业绩期望差距时有针对性地调整双元创新投入。 Based on enterprise growth theory and social emotional wealth theory,it explored the impact of heterogeneous performance aspiration gap on ambidextrous innovation from the perspective of growth pressure,and compared the similarities and differences between family firms and non-family firms in the above relationship.Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2019,it obtained the following conclusions.Firstly,distinguishing the types of innovation,firms tend to adjust exploration innovation to deal with the performance aspiration gap,rather than exploitation innovation.Secondly,distinguishing the performance aspiration situation and state,historical aspiration gap(including positive and negative)is significantly negative related to exploration innovation,and negative industry aspiration and exploration innovation present inverted U-shaped relationship.Thirdly,distinguishing the nature of the firms,family firms have the ambidextrous attributes of short-term risk aversion and long-term risk preference.It comprehensively considers the heterogeneity of performance aspiration gap and innovation type in the different contexts of family firms and non-family firms,and expands the existing literature’s understanding about how performance aspiration gap affecting innovation,and helps decision-makers of family firms and non-family firms to adjust ambidextrous innovation investment when facing different performance aspiration gaps.
