摘要
动物的玩耍行为有助于其提高自身生存技能,学习群内交流方式,建立社会关系。为探讨玩耍行为在白颊长臂猿(Nomascus leucogenys)幼体发育过程中的表现模式,于2008年8月15日—10月25日,采用焦点动物取样法和全事件记录法。对广西南宁动物园6只笼养白颊长臂猿幼体(2♀,4♂)的玩耍行为进行研究。结果表明:打斗式玩耍、拥抱玩耍、运动性玩耍、物品玩耍分别占总玩耍时间的23.31%、5.31%、68.02%、3.36%。白颊长臂猿幼体在玩耍行为上不存在性别、年龄差异,该结果与运动训练假说预测不一致。可能由于笼养条件提供了安全和充足的食物资源,导致雄性的社会性玩耍(打斗玩耍)退化;白颊长臂猿一夫一妻制的社会结构,导致了雌性有利于建立稳定友好的社会关系的社会性行为(拥抱玩耍)减少。雌、雄幼体选择玩耍伙伴时都更喜欢选择雄性,且倾向于选择年龄接近的个体玩耍,这一结果仅部分支持社会关系假说。
Animals play behavior helps to improve themselves survival skills,learn intra-group communication and establish social relationships.To study the play behavior modes of developing infants,we observed the paly behaviors of six caged white-cheeked gibbons(Nomascus leucogenys)infants(2♀,4♂)in Guangxi Nanning Zoo by applications of focus sampling method and continuous recording from August 15 to October 25,2008.The results showed that fighting,cuddling,athletic play and object play accounted for 23.31%,5.31%,68.02%and 3.36%of the total play time respectively.There were no gender and age differences in play behaviors between white-cheeked gibbons,which is inconsistent with the prediction of sports training hypothesis.It may be that cages provide safe and adequate food resources,leading to degradation of the social play(fighting behavior)in males.The monogamous social structure of white-cheeked gibbons led to a decrease in the amount of social behavior(cuddling)that females engage in order to establish stable and friendly social relationships.In social play,both male and female juveniles preferred males when choosing playmates,and the playmates tended to choose individuals of similar age.These results partially supported the social relationship hypothesis.
