基于大象化石分布的新近纪-第四纪中国气候变化研究 被引量:1

A Study on Climate Change in China During the Neogene-Quaternary Period Based on the Distribution of Elephant Fossils

摘要 大象曾在新近纪及第四纪时期广泛分布于中国大陆,其生存空间对气候变化响应较敏感。基于已发现的大象化石类型及分布,根据大象的生活习性,反推我国新近纪至第四纪的气候变化,结果显示:(1)晚中新世至早上新世期间中国东部及黄土高原气候逐渐变暖,中、晚上新世期间气候较前一阶段明显变冷;(2)更新世时期气候总体呈变冷趋势,气候冷暖波动频繁、幅度大,晚更新世时则较为寒冷:全新世时期则相对温暖;(3)云贵高原新近纪以来隆升情况复杂,大象化石对气候变化的指示意义还需进一步考证。将大象化石分布指示的气候变化与红黏土、黄土、石笋记录的气候变化进行对比,气候变化趋势表现出一致性。 Elephants were widely distributed in China's Mainland during the Neogene and Quaternary periods,and their living space was sensitive to climate change.Based on the types and distribution of the discovered elephant fossils,the climate change in China from Neogene to Quaternary can be inferred according to the living habits of elephants,the results showed:(1) During the period from Late Miocene to Early Pliocene,the climate in eastern China and the Loess Plateau gradually warmed.During the Middle and Late Pliocene,the climate became colder than the previous stage.(2) During the Pleistocene,the climate generally showed a cooling trend,and the climate temperature fluctuated frequently and in a large range,while in the Late Pleistocene,the climate was relatively cold.(3)The uplift of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is complicated since Neogene,and the indicative significance of elephant fossils to climate change needs further research.By comparing the climate change indicated by the distribution of elephant fossils with that recorded by red clay,loess and stalagmite,the trend of climate change is consistent.
