摘要
科学家形象的大量出现是晚清文学的重要景观,却始终未得到研究者的重视。事实上,科学家形象与物理、天文、医学等现代新知紧密联系在一起,承担着普及科学知识、引导读者认识中国现状、见证现代科技负面影响等功能,推动晚清小说叙事形态由故事到人物、由全知视角向限制视角的变革。晚清科学小说中的科学家形象既应被视作复杂的文学现象加以厘清,也应被作为丰富的思想资料加以辨析。
The emergence of numerous images of scientists is an important landscape of literature in Late Qing Period, but it has not been paid much attention by researchers. In fact, the image of scientists was closely linked with modern knowledge of physics, astronomy, medicine and so on. It bears the functions of popularizing scientific knowledge, guiding readers to understand the current situation of China, and witnessing the negative effects of modern science and technology. It promoted the transformation of the narrative form of novels in Late Qing Period from story to character, from omniscient perspective to limited perspective. The images of scientists in science novels of the Late Qing Period should not only be regarded as a complex literary phenomenon to be clarified, but also as a rich ideological data to be analyzed.
