摘要
晚明来华耶稣会士通过两次易服,经历了从"耶稣会士"到"西僧"再到"西儒"的身份转变。第一次身份的转变是由外而内对未知文化的妥协和适应,第二次身份的转变是由内而外的文化自觉过程。以罗明坚和利玛窦为代表的耶稣会士的文化自觉涵盖了对中国文化的认知、认同、思考和批判,最终选择了"补儒易佛"之路,实现文化的重建。在此过程中,他们经历了身份困惑、自我反思、自我觉醒和身份重构。晚明来华耶稣会士的经历对当代中国文化的对外传播有一定的借鉴意义。
The western Jesuits in late Ming dynasty changed their identities in China from“western monks”to“western scholars”with the change of costume for two times.If the first-time change was a kind of compromise and adaptation to the unknown culture,the second-time change was a process of cultural awareness.The Jesuits,represented by Michel Ruggieri and Matteo Ricci,reconstruct their cultural identities with the road of“Bu Ru Yi Fo(Complementation to Confucianism and Substitution to Buddhism)”after their cognition,acknowledgement,reflection and criticism to Chinese culture.During the process,they experienced confusion,reflection,awakening and identity reconstruction,which is of significance to the cross-cultural communication of contemporary China.
