摘要
高校英语教学改革对培养学生的英语综合能力具有重要的现实意义,时事新闻作为高校英语课堂教学的重要资源补充,对学生英语综合能力的提升具有重要的作用。本文将从时事新闻的基本概念出发,论述时事新闻在高校英语教学中的可行性,最后提出时事新闻在英语教学中的具体运用途径,旨在提升英语课堂教学质量,提高学生的英语学习能力。
The reform of college English teaching is of great practical significance to the cultivation of students’English comprehensive abilities.As an important resource supplement of college English classroom teaching,current news plays an important role in improving students’English comprehensive ability.Starting from the basic concept of current affairs news,this paper discusses the feasibility of current affairs news in college English teaching,and finally puts forward the specific application ways of current affairs news in English teaching,aiming at improving the quality of English classroom teaching and improving students’English learning ability.
