摘要
在“走出去”的文化传播背景下,文化、旅游以及翻译三者关系密不可分。在文化的对外传播过程中,翻译具有至关重要的作用。文章从文化传播的视角出发,以杭州西湖、京杭大运河以及良渚古城三处世界文化遗产中部分旅游文化文本中的文化翻译为研究对象,选取西湖部分景区导游词的英文版、京杭大运河沿线景点的英文标示牌、良渚古城出土文物的英文介绍,将其置于具体的语境进行审视,并提出了相应的翻译策略。进行旅游文化翻译时,译者可根据文本类型采用简译(condensed translation)、改写(adaptation)、整合(generalization)、阐释或加注(explanation)以及增译(amplification)策略。通过对旅游文化翻译策略的研究,为更好地提升杭州旅游外宣翻译提供参考,进一步促进旅游文化的传播。
In the context of"going global"cultural communication,culture,tourism and translation are closely related.In the process of cultural communication,language translation plays a vital role.From the perspective of cultural communication,based on the study of cultural translation in some tourist texts in the three major heritage sites of Hangzhou West Lake,Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Liangzhu Ancient City,the author selected the English versions of tour commentaries to some scenic spots of West Lake,the English signs along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and the English introduction to cultural relics excavated in Liangzhu Ancient City,put them into a specific context for analysis and proposed corresponding translation strategies.During tourism culture translation,translators may apply condensed translation,adaptation,generalization,explanation and amplification according to text types.Through the study on the translation strategies of tourism culture,the article provides the reference for improving the translation of Hangzhou's tourism publicity and further promotes the spread of tourism culture.
