摘要
自20世纪初,随着西风东渐深入中国内陆,外来文化的影响逐渐在乡土建筑上出现。湖南作为内陆最排外的省份,却同时又是维新运动的核心。在这样的二元性社会下,出现在湖南偏远乡村被当地人称为"文明建筑"的西洋风格祠堂成了一种具时代性的建筑文化现象。本文以这些祠堂为研究对象,通过田野调查结合文史资料研究,分析了驱动祠堂"文明化"的内外动因,并挖掘这些祠堂建筑的演变规律,试探寻除简单模仿之外,近代地方乡土建筑的"文明化"现象背后的设计思想及现代性甚至革命性,以期丰富中国乡土建筑和近代建筑的研究,也为研究中国建筑近代史中乡土建筑现代化转型的方法论提供一个新的角度。
Since the beginning of the 20 th century,with the eastward spread of western culture,the influence of foreign culture has gradually appeared on Chinese vernacular architectures.Although known as the province that is most antipathy to all things foreign,Hunan is also the epicenter of the Hundred Day’s Reform.In a province with such dual society,Western-styled Ci-tang(ancestral hall),began to emerge in many remoted areas,and were called"civilized buildings"by the locals.In this paper,a survey is carried out among these Ci-tang.Based on a wide range of literary sources along with field investigation,the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations of the Ci-tang to"civilize"were analyzed.The evolution patterns of these Ci-tang were studied.And other than just focusing on the imitating appearance,the ideology and modernity behind this phenomenon of vernacular architecture’s"civilizing"is discussed in this paper,in order to enrich the studies on Chinese vernacular architecture and early modern architecture,while also provides a new perspective for the study of architectural modernization about those of spontaneity in less urbanized areas.
