Objective Based on MOOC"learning hurdle running",this paper discusses the influence of cooperative learning on students’performance in the rich media environment. Methods In the quasi-experimental design,69 male students majoring in physical education were divided into two groups according to the teaching class.Taking learning method as independent variable, the experiment dealt with three levels:rich media+cooperative learning, cooperative learning and traditional skill learning. The dependent variable was hurdle running technical and theoretical performance, and the speed was the covariate. Results Under the main effect of teaching methods, the theoretical achievement rich media+cooperative learning group had a significant difference(p<0.000).The technical performance rich media+cooperative learning group had no significant difference with the cooperative learning group(p=0.936),but had significant difference with the traditional skill learning group(p=0.002).Conclusion It should set up learning objectives, individual responsibility, group building and interpersonal communication, group self-evaluation and competition as the elements of cooperative learning, take teacher’s promotional activities and rich media technology as teaching support, build an integrated learning environment inside and outside the classroom, and significantly improve the theoretical performance and technical performance of sports majors in hurdle race.
