摘要
本文考察了消费文化研究与社会学研究方法的异同,强调了从美学角度研究消费主义的重要性。在梳理了历史上一些消费文化理论家的著作之后,本文揭示了消费文化研究如何进入英语学界并成为当今文学批评的一种研究范式。本文指出,消费文化研究不仅关注与以往文学批评不同的问题系列,而且其注重社会文本和拼贴形式的方法本身就是一种政治立场。
This paper examines the history and development of consumerist theory.It explores the difference of research methods between cultural studies and the sociology of consumption.It emphasizes the importance of studying consumerism from the aesthetic point of view.This paper also reviews how the study of consumer culture has entered the English academic field and has become a research approach of literary criticism today.The issue of consumerism goes beyond the traditional literary criticism:it pays more attention to social texts.This critical approach can be seen as a political position as well.
