摘要
从1988年开始,希利斯·米勒开始了与中国文论同行的频繁交往、密切接触的历程。三十年间,他完成了从"本土信息员"到成为中国同行的转变,与中国学者展开了围绕"全球化""电讯时代的文学危机""解构性阅读/修辞性阅读"等诸多问题的讨论,并对中国语言文字、中国古典文学和中国现当代文学有所了解。希利斯·米勒与中国同行的对话成为中西文论交往对话的典型个案,说明思想文化上的交流对话离不开密切接触、亲身经历、实地考察等方式。
J.Hillis Miller began his frequent communication and close contact with his Chinese literary contemporaries since 1988.During the past 30 years,he has completed the transformation from "a local information provider" to "a contemporary of Chinese scholars".He has discussed with Chinese scholars on such issues as "globalization", "literary crisis in the telecommunications age", "deconstructive reading/rhetorical reading",etc.He also has some knowledge of Chinese language and culture,Chinese classical literature and Chinese modern and contemporary literature.The dialogues between J.Hillis Miller and his Chinese contemporaries has become a typical case of Chinese-Western communication and dialogue,which shows that the exchange and dialogue in ideology and culture cannot be separated from close contact,personal experience,on-the-spot investigation,etc.
