摘要
大蜜蜂Apis dorsata Fabricius是蜜蜂属中的一个重要种,为亚洲特有的一种野生蜜蜂,具有体大吻长、群势强、抗逆性强、采集力强等优势,对亚洲热带地区生态系统和生物多样性的维持和稳定有着重要作用.本文概述了大蜜蜂生物学、防御机制、经济价值及饲养管理等方面,分析了造成大蜜蜂种群数量锐减的原因,从大蜜蜂改良、驯化、饲养、取蜜方式等方面对大蜜蜂保护和应用中存在的问题进行了探讨,以期推动中国蜂业的可持续发展.
Asian giant honeybee,Apis dorsata Fabricius,an important species in the genus Apis,is a wild honeybee unique to Asia.It has more advantages on body length,colony,resistance and foraging activity over other honeybee species.A.dorsata plays an important role in maintaining ecosystem and biodiversity in tropical Asia.In this paper,we summarized the biology,defense mechanism,economic value and beekeeping management of A.dorsata,as well as analyzed the causes of the sharp decline of A.dorsata population.Furthermore,we discussed protection and application for A.dorsata from improvement,domestication,breeding and harvesting so that apiculture of China will be developed sustainably.
