摘要
由于英汉两种语言之间从根本上存在许多不同之处,译者在翻译过程需要对词汇、句法进行相应的选择、调整和转换。通过举例分析卡特福德的转换理论在石油英语翻译中的指导作用,旨在为石油英语汉译提供新的视角,提高石油英语的翻译质量。
Considering the differences between English and Chinese,translators need to convert vocabulary and syntax accordingly during the translation process.This article exemplifies the application of Catford's translation shift theory in petroleum English translation,with the aim of providing a new aspect for the translation of petroleum English into Chinese and guaranteeing the accuracy of petroleum English translation.
