Industrial Intellectual Property Protection,Foreign Capital Entry and Export Technology Content of China's Domestic Enterprises

摘要本文使用2000—2013年中国工业企业数据库和海关数据库的匹配数据,探究了外资进入与行业知识产权保护的交互作用对中国内资企业出口技术含量的影响。研究结果表明:外资进入降低了内资企业的出口技术含量,但是外资进入与行业知识产权保护的调节作用提升了内资企业的出口技术含量;异质性分析显示,外资进入与行业知识产权保护的交互作用促进了内资企业一般贸易出口技术含量,并且对高技术水平内资企业出口技术含量的提升作用更大;中介效应检验显示外资进入与行业知识产权保护的调节作用通过提升内资企业进口技术含量和促进企业创新,提升了内资企业的出口技术含量。 Intellectual property protection(IPP)has profoundly affected the global production of multinational companies.Using the matching data of the Chinese Industrial Enterprises Database and the Customs Database from 2000 to 2013,we explored the impact of interaction between foreign capital entry and industrial IPP on the export technology content of Chinese domestic enterprises.The findings show that:Foreign capital entry reduces the export technology content of domestic enterprises,but the coordination of foreign capital entry and industrial IPP improves the export technology content of domestic enterprises;Heterogeneous analysis shows that the interaction between foreign capital entry and industrial IPP has promoted the export technology content of ordinary trade of domestic enterprises,and it has played a greater role in improving the export technology content of high-tech and domestic enterprises;Using mediated effect model,we find that the coordination between foreign capital entry and industrial IPP has promoted the export technology content of domestic enterprises via improving the import technology content and innovation of enterprises.Based on these,the government needs to pay more attention to both the opening-up of foreign investment and the strengthening of IPP at home,so as to exert the spillover effect of foreign capital on domestic firms and then promote the high-quality development of China's foreign trade.
