摘要
通过对42个国家2003-2014年制造业全球价值链地位和参与度指数的研究,发现OFDI可以提升较高分位数上母国制造业全球价值链的地位和高分位数上母国制造业全球价值链的参与度,阻碍低分位数上母国制造业全球价值链地位和参与度的提升。同时运用分样本回归法发现,OFDI可以提升高分位数上发展中国家制造业全球价值链的地位和参与度,却阻碍0.10分位数上发展中国家制造业全球价值链地位和参与度的提升;OFDI可以提升高分位数上发达国家制造业全球价值链的参与度,但同时会阻碍0.10分位和中间分位数上发达国家制造业全球价值链地位的提升。因此,各国要正确认识OFDI对本国制造业全球价值链升级的影响。作为制造业大国,我国要继续推进OFDI,提升本国的技术水平,运用OFDI促进我国制造业全球价值链的升级。
According to WIOD database, this paper calculated the GVC(Global Value Chain)status and participation indexes of manufacturing industry in 42 countries from 2003 to2014. Using quantile regression method, the author studies the influence of OFDI(Outward Foreign Direct Investment) on the GVC status and participation of home manufacturing industry. It is found that OFDI can increase the manufacturing GVC status of a home country which is at a higher quantile and the manufacturing GVC participation of a home country which is at a high quantile.On the other hand, OFDI can depress the manufacturing GVC status and participation of a home country which is at a low quantile. According to the sub-sample regression analysis, OFDI can improve the manufacturing GVC status and participation of developing countries which are at a high quantile, but it can lower the manufacturing GVC status and participation of developing countries which is at 0.10 quantile. Moreover, OFDI can improve the manufacturing GVC participation of developed countries which are at high quantile, but it depresses the manufacturing GVC status of developed countries which are at 0.10 or intermediate quantile. Therefore, every country should correctly understand the impact of OFDI on the upgrading of GVC of their own manufacturing industry. As a major manufacturing country, China should continue to encourage OFDI to improve our technological level, utilizing OFDI to promote the upgrading of China’s manufacturing GVC.
