理工科学生ESP阅读能力三层级培养模式构建

摘要 专门用途英语(ESP)教学已逐渐成为大学英语教师探讨的焦点。针对当前ESP教学过程中能力培养与教学目标严重脱节的现状,该研究结合学生的学术需求调查,以学术阅读为切入点,运用Spector-Cohen等人的学术英语阅读课程四维分析框架,构建起专门用途英语阅读能力三层级培养模式。该模式包括知识、技能和能力三个层面,旨在为培养学生的学术阅读能力提供可行性方案。 The teaching of ESP courses has been a big challenge for college English teachers for a long time. Currently, students’ inadequacy in ESP abilities causes the failure in its cultivation achievement. Based on the survey of students’ academic learning needs and by relating to the four-dimensional frame for EAP reading courses proposed by Spector-Cohen and other scholars, it is intended to construct a model of three-level ESP reading ability which includes the levels of knowledge, skills and competence. An attempt is made to offer possible suggestions for the cultivation of the students’ academic reading ability.
