摘要
随着五四时期"儿童的发现",《西游记》作为"儿童文学"也被"发现"了。不少学者将《西游记》归类为具有"童话性质"的作品,但其实它也是一部符合成长小说特征的作品。通过描写孙悟空享乐天真的童年时代、否定秩序的少年时代以及修心历练的成年时代,《西游记》全面呈现了孙悟空这一主体的成长过程。然而,最终修成正果的孙悟空,也必然要以放弃青春、自由和野性为代价,这使得看似皆大欢喜的结局,也隐隐地暗含着成长所不能避免的悲剧性。
With the "discovery of children "during the May Fourth Movement,A Journey to the West was also "discovered"as"children’s literature". A Journey to the West is classified into the works with the features of fairy tales. It is also the novel which fits for the characteristics of Bildungsroman. The growth of the hero,the Monkey King,is showed comprehensively with his naive childhood,boyhood of challenging the order and the adulthood of cultivating his mind. However,the abandoning his youth,freedom and wildness is the price of becoming the immortal for the Monkey King,and this is also the implicitly unavoidable tragic for the growth.
