摘要
教师身为社会道德价值观的主要传递者,在社会快速变化的同时,需经常面临自身价值理念与因情境而变动的道德标准的冲突而必须做出行动的选择。教师对学生的道德发展有最直接的影响,因为他们是最常与学生做第一接触的学校人员,与学生相处的时间最长,对学生的行为和价值观影响也最大。因此本研究将探讨教师自身对于道德的认知与实践,在学校中所面临的道德冲突来源,以及教师如何处理其所面对的道德冲突、选择冲突处理方式的原因。研究结果发现教师在学校中所面临的道德冲突来源为:(1)与学生、家长的价值观冲突;(2)与教师同僚的冲突;(3)与学校行政人员的冲突。而教师在道德冲突时所做的选择包括:(1)坚持原则,必要时会弹性处理;(2)自身觉得影响力有限,选择消极面对或自我调试;(3)教师互动少,建立共识难,只能使用人情。最后,针对教师的道德实践、行政领导以及未来研究方向提出相关建议。
School teachers are the main media to transmit moral values of the society.However,with the rapid changes in society,they need to confront conflicts between their values and others’ethical standards which might change in different context.Therefore,they must make a choice.Teachers have the greatest direct impact on the moral development of students including their behaviors and values,because they,as front-line school staff,are the persons who have the most frequent contacts with students.This study aims to further investigate teachers’ethical and moral values and practices,moral conflicts teachers encountered at schools,how teachers handled moral conflicts and what factors affected their choices.The findings reveal that moral conflicts are from:(1)students and parents;(2)peer teachers;(3)school administrators.The conflict-management strategies include:(1)voice with peer support;(2)adherence to their own values,if necessary,being flexible;(3)yielding and compromising;(4)networking and guan-xi.Finally,recommendations are made for the ethical practice of teachers,administrators,and future research.
