摘要
[目的/意义]在科学数据日益受到重视的今天,描述与介绍科学数据的"Data Paper"已从理念构想发展成为科研学术界可获取的一种新型出版物。国内学者也已将"Data Paper"纳入研究视野。然而,当前我国学界使用"数据论文"作为"Data Paper"的中译名并未能确切反映"Data Paper"的内涵边界与功能定位。明晰"Data Paper"的概念并使用更为贴切的中文译名将有利于推动"Data Paper"理论研究的更加规范化和严谨化。[方法/过程]综合运用内容分析法和比较分析法,从概念边界、内容要素、内在属性和功能定位等4个维度,剖析"Data Paper"与传统意义上的(学术)论文的差异。[结果/结论]研究发现,"Data Paper"不具有独立性,是其所描述的科学数据集的"附件";"Data Paper"更强调说明性和介绍性;"Data Paper"描述的对象具有过程性,而不具有结论性。因此,将"Data Paper"简单翻译为"数据论文",一是未能准确揭示"Data Paper"的概念内涵与功能属性,二是容易将之理解为一种"新型的(学术)论文",而使用"数据导引"替代"数据论文"作为"Data Paper"的中文译名将更为精准贴切。
[Purpose/Significance]Nowadays,with the increasing importance of research data,data paper describing and introducing research data has developed from a conceptual concept to a new publication available to scientific research community.Domestic scholars have also brought data paper into the research community.However,the current Chinese translation of data paper in Chinese academic circles does not accurately reflect the connotative boundary and functional orientation of data paper.Clarifying the concept of data paper and using more appropriate Chinese translation of data paper will help to promote the more standardized and rigorous research of data paper in theory.[Method/Process]The difference between data paper and traditional(academic)papers was analyzed from four perspectives:concept boundary,content elements,intrinsic attributes and function orientation by application of content analysis and comparative analysis.[Results/Conclusion]The study found that data paper was not independent and was an annex to the research data set that describes;data paper emphasizes explanatory and introductory;and the object described by data paper was procedural rather than conclusive.Therefore,the simple translation of data paper into"数据论文"failed to accurately reveal the conceptual connotation and functional attributes of data paper,and it was easy to understand it as a"new type of(academic)paper",so using"数据导引"instead of"数据论文"as the Chinese translation of data paper will be more accurate and appropriate.
