摘要 “述而不作”是孔子对待前代文化遗产的基本原则,也是了解孔子治学和教育的一个重要视角。历来研究者对“述而不作”进行了较多的挖掘和阐释,成果颇多。通常都强调这是孔子对待文献的态度,但鲜有学者注意到,“述而不作”其实还包括孔子对周代乐语传统的继承和新变。言和语都是乐语的核心言说方式,且各自有其源头。诗歌既是乐语的言说文本,也是乐语言说的辅助工具,同时又是乐语教学的材料。承变乐语传统并以之为教,通过它们建立起系统的儒家言语观,又以《诗》教来培育君子,使其言语,从而构建礼乐秩序,正是孔子述而不作的精神内涵。 Shu Er Bu Zuo (pass on the ancient culture without adding anything new to it) was a basic principle Confucius followed when he reflected on the ancient cultural heritage. It was also a perspective on knowing his pursuit of studies education. Great achievements have been made in exploring and interpreting his thoughts, emphasizing his interpretation as his approach to literature, but few have noticed that his elaboration included his succeeding to and developing of the musical language in the Zhou Dynasty. Poems are the texts, the auxiliary means and teaching materials of musical language. Therefore, the spirit of Confuciuss education was to build a systematic view of speech in terms of the succession and development, and cultivate men of noble character in light of poems so that they could voice out and build a ritual order.
