摘要
面对东西方文化的冲突与对抗,流散作家在两种文化之间扮演着"协调者"的角色。在小说《阿尼尔的灵魂》中,作者迈克尔·翁达杰积极传递东方的历史与文化,在书写东、西方文化冲突的同时倡导东西方文化交流。小说既表现了"先进"的西方文化遭遇东方本土文化的尴尬,尤其是东西方两种"真实"观的激烈对抗,又蕴含着东西方文化对话的深义。
Facing the resistance and conflicts between the Eastern and Western cultures,disaporic writers may act as intermediaries.Through his novel Anil’s Ghost,Canadian disaporic writer Michael Ondaatje transmits the Eastern culture and history,attaching importance to the communication between the Eastern and Western cultures while displaying conflicts between them.The story not only represents the embarrassment of "advanced" Western culture encountering the local Eastern culture,especially the conflicts between two different opinions of "Truth", but also implies the communication between the Eastern and Western cultures.
