纳米芳纶包覆碳纤维及其纸基材料力学性能研究

Study on aramid nanofiber coated carbon fiber and its mechanical properties of paper-based material

摘要 碳纤维及其复合材料因其出色的机械性能被作为结构材料广泛使用,然而,碳纤维的表面化学惰性限制了其进一步应用.基于多巴胺预处理碳纤维表面,进而实现芳纶纳米纤维对碳纤维的表面改性,并研究了改性纤维对复合纸基材料性能的影响.研究发现,碳纤维表面多巴胺预处理有助于碳纤维表面阳离子化,进而通过静电吸附作用辅助芳纶纳米纤维的包覆.利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、傅立叶红外光谱仪(FTIR)、接触角测试仪、拉力试验机对处理后的碳纤维纸基材料的表面形貌、化学组分、亲水性和力学性能进行表征分析.结果表明,0.2%纳米芳纶纤维对碳纤维的包覆效果最好,经过纳米芳纶纤维改性的碳纤维使得碳纤维纸基材料具备良好的疏水性能(CA=112.4°)和力学性能(6.74 MPa). Carbon fiber and its composites are widely used as structural materials due to their excellent mechanical properties.However,the chemical inertness of carbon fibers restricts their further application.In this paper,we implemented that the modification of carbon fiber via coating aramid nanofibers based on pre-treatment of carbon fiber surface by dopamine.At the same time,the effects of modified fibers on the properties of paper-based materials were investigated.It was found that pre-treatment of carbon fiber contributed to the cationization of the surface of carbon fiber,and further assisted the coating of aramid nanofiber by electrostatic adsorption.The surface morphology,chemical composition,hydrophilic property and mechanical properties of carbon fiber paper-based material were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),contact angle tester and tension tester.The results showed that the best coating effect on carbon fiber was achieved when the concentration of aramid nanofiber is 0.2%the best deposition effect when the 0.2%concentration of nano aramid fiber.The carbon fiber paper-based material modified by aramid nanofiber has good hydrophobic properties(CA=112.4°)and mechanical properties(6.74 MPa).
