Combustion Characteristics of PP/ZnAl-LDH Nano-Flame Retardant Materials

摘要 以自制的锌铝型纳米层状双氢氧化物(ZnAl-LDH)(n(Zn^2+):n(Al^3+)=3:1)与聚丙烯(PP)熔融共混制备了PP/ZnAl-LDH纳米阻燃材料,利用锥形量热仪及场发射扫描电镜,表征并分析了PP/ZnAl-LDH纳米阻燃材料的燃烧特性.结果表明,与纯样PP相比,PP/ZnAl-LDH纳米复合材料的热释放速率(HRR)和CO释放率均大幅降低,不同比例PP/ZnAl-LDH的纳米复合材料燃烧完成后,得到不同比率的残渣.研究结果表明:ZnAl-LDH的加入降低了材料的热危害和毒气危害,并通过对材料的催化成炭作用发挥了较好的阻燃作用,降低了材料的火灾危险性.且当ZnAl-LDH的添加用量为2.1%-3.5%时,PP/ZnAl-LDH纳米复合材料达到了最佳的阻燃效果。 PP/ZnAl-LDH nano-flame retardants were prepared by melt blending of self-made zinc-aluminium nano-layered double hydroxides (ZnAl-LDH )( n( Zn^2+):n( Al^3+)= 3. 1 ) and polypropylene (PP). The combustion characteristics of PP/ZnAl-LDH Nano-flame retardant materials were characterized and analyzed by cone calorimeter and field emission scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the heat release rate ( HRR ) and CO release rate of PP/ZnAl-LDH nanocomposite were significantly lower than those of pure PP. After combustion, nanocomposite with different proportions of PP/ZnAl-LDH had different ratios of residual. The results showed that the addition of ZnAl-LDH reduced the thermal hazards and toxic gas hazards of the materials and played a good flame retardant effect by char forming, and the fire hazard of the materials was reduced. The best flame retardant effect could be achieved, when the amount of ZnAl-LDH added was 2.1%-3.5%.
