摘要
翻译工作属于文化交流的重要形式,对英语以及汉语文化之间的融合具有重要意义。同时,两种语言文化存在显著差异,彼此融合还需要通过一定的途径来实现,无论是在汉语语境中对英语的直译或者在英语语境下的直译都有可能造成翻译失误情况出现。本文从英语文化角度出发,讨论英语文化对英语翻译效果的影响,主要从民族历史文化及社会背景、地域文化及自然环境、宗教文化、社会习俗及生活方式几个方面具体论述。
Translation work is an important form of cultural communication and is of great significance to the integration of English and Chinese culture. At the same time,there are significant differences between the two language cultures. The integration of each other needs to be achieved through certain channels. Whether it is a literal translation of English in the Chinese context or a literal translation in the English context,translation errors may occur. From the perspective of English culture,this paper discusses the influence of English culture on English translation,which is mainly discussed from the aspects of national history and culture and social background,regional culture and natural environment,religious culture,social customs and lifestyle.
