摘要
通过对野生型玉米自交系(A378)离体花粉生殖细胞N-甲基-N亚硝基脲处理所得M1～M2群体的雄穗性状的筛查,创制出3种类型的玉米雄穗突变系。结果显示,与A378相比,第1类型雄穗突变系具有无分枝、主轴发育不良、无花粉的性状;第2类型雄穗突变系显示主轴退化、主轴与分枝上部分小穗雌化的性状;第3类型雄穗突变系具有正常发育的主轴与短小簇生的分枝。这些雄穗突变性状在M2群体中均出现表型分离现象。其中,1份雄穗雌化突变系具有显性性状,别的突变系均具有隐性性状。这些玉米突变系有望用于玉米雄性生殖器官发育与性状表达遗传机制的研究。
In this study, three types of tassel mutant lines of maize were created, screening the tassel characters in M1-M2 progeny populations obtained by the N-methyl-N-nitrosourea treatment of pollen germ cells of the wild-type maize inbred line, A378. The results showed that compared with A378, the type-I tassel mutants had the characters of no-branches, principal-axis dysplasia and no-pollen. The type-II tassel mutants showed the characters of principal-axis degeneration, feminization of principal-axis and partial spikelets on branch. The type-III tassel mutants had the normally developed principal-axis and short cluster branches. These mutant characters of tassel exhibited phenotypic segregation in the M2 population. Among them, one line with tassel feminization was dominant mutant, and the other lines all were recessive mutants. These maize mutant lines created in this study is expected to be used in studies for the genetic mechanisms concerning character expression and development of male reproductive organs in maize.
