邓罗、罗慕士《三国演义》英译本形式美的再现

摘要 《三国演义》进入英语世界有大约200年的历史,但在西方的影响力不大,读者和研究者均不多。该文从古典诗歌、四/三字格的翻译及篇章结构的角度考察罗慕士和邓罗译本的语言美的再现,并认为古汉语的凝练、人物众多对中国古典文学"走出去"和文学翻译工作者构成了一定的挑战。只有将语言的形式美译好了,中国文学的宝贵财富才能被海外更多的读者认可。 San Guo Yan Yi has existed in the English world for more than 200 years,but aroused little effect.Only a small number of readers and researchers were and are interested in it.This paper aims to study how the beauty of the language in San Guo Yan Yi is represented in its two full translations from the perspective of the translation of ancient Chinese poems,four-character &three-character Chinese phrases,and hermit culture and the perspective of textual structure.The author argues that conciseness and meaningfulness of ancient Chinese,and a large number of four-character phrases pose a great challenge for ancient Chinese literature’s “going global” and literary translators.Only when the formal beauty of the language is well translated,could the great treasure of Chinese literature be shared by more overseas readers.
